Direct Variation Unitary method

1. A contractor took 180 days to build a road.He employed 150 men to do that .After 60 days he found that only one fourth of the road could be made.How many additional workers  he have to employ to finish the work in time?
2. If eight labourers can earn  9000 rs in 15 days ,How many labooures can earn 6300 in 7 days?
3. Three people work 8 hrs a day to complete a document in 10 days.If only two of them are working ,how many hours a day should they work to finish the job in 12 days.
4. If 18 pencils costs 450 rs how many pencils can be purchased for rs 425?

Unitary method Questions

1.       If 5 men working 6 hours a day can reap a field in 20days , in how many days will 15 men reapthe field , working 8 hours a day ?( 5 days)\ 2.       15 labourers can fill 35 boxes in 7 days . 100 soldiers in a fort had enough food for 20 days. After 2 days, 20 more soldiers join the fort. How long will the remaining food last? Ans(18 days)
